JACKIE COLLINS - GODDESS OF VENGEANCE
Love her books but seriously love the character Lucky Santangelo so for this reason I have to read this next book in her life so watch this space, she says Lucky Santangelo is back with a vengeance in a novel full of power, passion, revenge and the raging family dynamics of the Santangelo clan.
DAVID MICHELL - CLOUD ATLAS
This is a friends recommendation, as I have read about the film of the same being made here in Mallorca this September 2011 with TOM HANKS and HALLE BERRY and a few other big star names. so I wanted to read before the film comes out its about a mans travel diary I think in the Pacific so don't know why they choose here to film ?? we will wait and see how that turns out I was told its a bit slow but to stick with it so will try.
GEORGE R.R. MARTIN - A DANCE WITH DRAGONS
Now I think I am going to read this first as a huge book which took him 6 years to write his the writer of Games of Thrones which was a new TV series on Sky Living which was I think fantastic !! so has got me in the mood to read the books which are many but I think will be easy to read as I loved it so much so I am excited about the series. Its George Martins fifth volume its about Daenersys last scion of House Targaryen, her dragons have grown terrifying big and she rules as queen of the city on dust and death beset by enemies. Once I have read this I might read the rest.
I am also reading BYZANTIUM by JOHN JULIUS NORWICH The Decline and Fall, another recommendation which is slow going but I am reading it in chapters, but I am enjoying the history of poor old Constaniople's fall.

POOR BLUE
What a day today, this morning my poor Weimarner Blue had a accident while walking up the mountain for his daily walk, don't know how he did it but bent back his dewclaw so I was in a bit of a panic coming back down as it looked bad, as surprisingly their was lots of blood, but Blue didn't seem to be bothered by it as always, anyway I drove back down and went straight to my vet Nick and he said that he would have to be sedated before he could cut it back, and it was still attached firmly and if he cut it like that Blue would never step into the vets again !!! so I leave my poor boy who didn't have a clue what was going on as he loves going there and loves Nick. In half hour I got the call to collect him all bandaged up and repaired, he was funny all woozy from the gas and injection. Its been a quite day as Blue has slept most of the day bless him with the odd dream or two and keeps crying alot. His had a good nibble at the bandage which is now covered with a sock and he looks so funny. So no long walk tonight but will try to take him for a walk downstairs on the beach on the soft sand later.

DEATH,MAGIC AND HOW TO MAKE PIZZA author Adrian Stride

Adam was in a bit of trouble, in the same way as Atlantis had a bit of rising damp. A sword wielding She-Goblin had a crush on him. A pack of Were-Thylacines were hunting him down. Victor the Nosferatu wanted to know the secrets of pizza, Oscar the Wise, Wizard extraordinaire and all round nice guy (description supplied by the author of his new autobiography), wanted him dead and his skin put on display. WINE RECOMMENDATION OF THE WEEK
I have a passion for wine and have started to collect again, have a few French but I am concentrating on Spanish & Mallorcan wines, because their are so many good ones to try especially here in Mallorca so at least every week I am going to recommend a good vino for you to buy and try.
BODEGAS EL NIDO EL NIDO 2008 RP (ROBERT PARKER) 96 POINTS PRICE 35 EUROS
Big, oaky at mouthful of fruits like a fruit bomb. After a couple hours in the decanter its amazing.
"The 2008 El Nido is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Monastrell also aged for 24 months in new French and American oak. It gives up a bit more aromatic complexity with ramped up concentration and volume. In the glass, notes of blueberry, blackberry, exotic spices, and pepper lead to a plush, silky, 60-second finish. Give this behemoth 6-8 years to become civilized and drink the Clio cuvee while you are waiting."
DAY & NIGHT MALLORCA STYLE
Another beautiful, warm, sunny day here on the island of Mallorca Izzy and I went to our favourite Italian restaurant called MAGARI which is
on the Paseo Maritimo, the food is spot on cooked the way I love pasta and Italian food they have a menu del dia Monday to Friday for 12.50euros which to non spanish people means a three course meal choices in a starter, main & desert its excellent value and quality is high, but today we only just wanted a quick pasta before we hits the shops so linguine with a tomatoe sauce made for me and Izzy had penne arrabiarta, then off to the big shop in town called El Cortes Ingles. So we arrived home at 6 o'clock and Blue was waiting patiently on the terrace for his walk so with a quick turn around we went off to meet our friend Demetri and his chocolate labarador Marley for another great two hour walk up and down that beautiful mountain in glorious sunshine and today on the way back we bumped into our new doggie friend Elvis an american staffordshire who likes to hump every dog he meets LOL which Blue was not happy about and also there was no way he was going to take his stick from him which was very amusing to watch, the first time Blue ever defended himself.
